The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.

Project Highlights

Kitsap County Parks completed phase 1 of the children’s playground, phase 1 of the skatepark, installed a new soccer field, installed a perimter ADA trail, renovated two existing softball fields and provided parking for the skatepark.

From I-5 go north on WA-16 toward Bremerton. Take the Sedgwick Road / WA-160 E ramp toward Southworth Ferry 0.3 miles. Turn right onto SE Sedgwick Road/WA-160 for 0.7 miles. Turn left onto Bethel Road SE 1.0 miles. Turn right onto SE Lund Avenue 1.0 miles. Turn left onto Jackson Avenue SE. What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
