Local Parks grants help protect these symbols of vibrant communities, providing places for families to gather and play and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in an era when people spend increasing amounts of their time inside. The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Phase 2 of Sky Valley Sports Complex consists of the design and construction of a regulation size softball field, two regulation size tennis courts, and a field house. Parking facilities and signage will also be included in the project. Sultan School District, the City of Sultan, Snohomish County, Seattle Mariners, the Boeing Company, and the citizens of Skykomish Valley all became partners in Phase 1 of this project and are enthusiastic about pursuing Phase 2. This is a joint project between Sultan School District and the City of Sultan. The City will be the lead agency for the project and all facilities will be built on School District property.
