The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.

Project Highlights

Phase 2 of Sky Valley Sports Complex consists of the design and construction of a regulation size softball field, two regulation size tennis courts, and a field house. Parking facilities and signage will also be included in the project. Sultan School District, the City of Sultan, Snohomish County, Seattle Mariners, the Boeing Company, and the citizens of Skykomish Valley all became partners in Phase 1 of this project and are enthusiastic about pursuing Phase 2. This is a joint project between Sultan School District and the City of Sultan. The City will be the lead agency for the project and all facilities will be built on School District property.

Location Details

Sultan is located 22 miles east of Everett along US Highway 2 in Snohomish County. Once on Main Street in Sultan drive north on 8th Street about 2/3 mile. 8th St will curve left and Sky Valley Sports Complex is located on the right just before the Sultan High School stadium. The address is 13715 310th Avenue S.E. There is parking along the street.

What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
