Lyons Ferry Marina Pull-Through Sites and Restroom

Category Overview

Washington is famous for its gorgeous and abundant waterways, from the Salish Sea to the Nisqually River, but many communities lack open public beaches and waterfronts where everyone can enjoy picnicking, swimming, paddling, boating, and angling. Water Access projects fund public shoreline access, boat launches, and fishing docks to create more opportunities for water recreation.

Project Highlights

The Port of Columbia will use this grant to improve and expand water access to the Snake River at Lyons Ferry Marina in Columbia County, WA. The scope of this project is clearing and grubbing, leveling, installing utilities, and constructing pull-through RV sites and an upland restroom that meet or exceed accessibility standards. The goals of the project are to connect accessible RV sites to Snake River recreation opportunities, replace water access lost when our neighboring state parks ceased offering overnight camping, upgrade facilities to meet modern standards, generate revenue to maintain the public facility, and provide economic opportunities for our constituents.  Primary water access and recreation opportunities available at this location include an accessible fishing dock, power boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, paddle boarding, and fishing.
