Category Overview
Trails grants help communities and recreation areas fund the creation and improvement of trails for walking, hiking, cycling, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing. These grants help make communities more livable, create regional trails systems, and open up beautiful outdoor spaces for people to enjoy. WWRP is the largest source of trail support in the state of Washington.
Project Highlights
This project represents a major improvement along the 69-mile Centennial Trail system. A non-motorized bridge will be constructed to span the Spokane River, near the City of Spokane’s urban core. The bridge will provide future trail development opportunities, including an eventual link to the Columbia Plateau Trail. The project includes the construction of a 600′ long bridge, 2,000 lineal feet of asphalt trail, landscaping and signage.
