The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
The scope of this project was to renovate an existing softball field at Skagit Playfields that had insufficient drainage and poor turf quality. This field had deteriorated to such a condition that it was playable several weeks less a year when compared to other fields in the immediate area. The renovation work will included a new field drainage system and outfield turf rehabilitation. We expect these changes to result in less missed games during the play season and improve the quality of the play environment.
