Project Highlights
The completed Conklin Landing RV Park camping facility received its first campers on August 30th, 2019. All sites are equipped to provide; power, sewer, and water to the camper. Each RV site has a picnic table and fire pit with a BBQ grill for their use. There are two ADA accessible sites available. The newly constructed restrooms have been very well received by everyone with the parking provided. The landscaping has an expansive area of grass and trees that will grow to provide shade. Native grasses, boulders, and wood chip ground cover were used to define the perimeter of this facility. Asphalt covers all roadway and parking areas. Well installed signage allows the campers easy access and navigation of the entire facility. A kiosk has been installed at the restroom area with a RCO sign indicating their cooperation and funding. There is plenty of room for the campers and guests to relax and enjoy the facility and surrounding area. This facility is located next to a modern boat launch to the Columbia River allowing people wanting to fish from a boat easy access for Steelhead, Salmon, and many other species. This facility provides additional camping in our area for people to stay and play, creating recreational opportunities.
