The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.

Project Highlights

This project involves the continued support for development of facilities at a new 230-acre park north of SeaTac Airport. Specific components of this phase include two all-weather soccer fields, multi-purpose hard court, parking, play toy area, and picnic shelter. Through joint cooperation between the Port of Seattle, King County Parks, and City of SeaTac, nearly $8.2 million will be provided for development over several phases.

What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
