Millersylvania Park Trail Improvements

Category Overview

State Parks grants help preserve and develop our state’s best outdoor recreation areas by funding new campgrounds and amenities to increase the capacity of our parks, creating new parks, improving park resources, and protecting historical areas. These grants help our state continue to develop our world-class parks system to share our cultural heritage and natural treasures with all of its visitors.

Project Highlights

Washington State Parks will use this grant to develop a 280-foot boardwalk replacing a failing bridge and boardwalk critical to trail user experience at Millersylvania State Park. This project will provide park visitors with ADA access to experience one of the park’s many wetlands as well as providing a connection from the campground to an 8.5-mile forested trail system within the park. The primary activities created by this project are both passive and active outdoor recreation.
