The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.

Project Highlights

The City of Everett Parks and Facilities Department will use this grant to complete the second phase of improvements at Edgewater Park, including a playground, basketball half-court, circulation paths, and renovated open play lawn. The project will also install water utilities, signage, landscaping, and fencing. The primary recreation opportunity provided by this project is active play.

Location Details

Beginning summer 2024, construction of the Edgewater Bridge Replacement project will restrict access to the west half of the site. If parking area at the west of park is not available, RCO visitors may park on the grassy ROW along Shore Ave. at the northeast corner of the site.

What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
