Project Highlights

Acquire the 37 acre Sunrise Resort for future development of a centrally located park administrative and maintenance center accessible to the rest of the park. Also, the property will provide future opportunities for development of utility campsites and amenities. This property is vital to the implementation of the 2001 Deception Pass State Park Facilities Master Plan.

Location Details

Driving south on Hwy. 20 from Anacortes cross the Deception Pass Bridge and continue south. The first traffic light is at Cornet Bay Road. The resort is NE of this intersection. Turn left (east) on Cornet Bay Road. The entrance to the resort is immediately on the left (north) side of Cornet Bay Road.

What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
