These grants help our state continue to develop our world-class parks system to share our cultural heritage and natural treasures with all of its visitors.
Project Highlights
WA State Parks acquired 77.85 acres (all vacant land) of the parcel previously known as P19606. A boundary line adjustment was completed & recorded prior to the purchase. Fees & paperwork have been submitted to Skagit County to amend the zoning on the newly acquired land, currently zoned RR, to OSRI to align with the zoning on the rest of Deception Pass State Park. Gates were fabricated and installed to prevent vehicular access and dumping on the new parcel. The new western line has been surveyed and staked.
