State Parks grants help preserve and develop our state’s best outdoor recreation areas by funding new campgrounds and amenities to increase the capacity of our parks, creating new parks, improving park resources, and protecting historical areas. These grants help our state continue to develop our world-class parks system to share our cultural heritage and natural treasures with all of its visitors.

Project Highlights

State Parks acquired 20.74 acres from four different landowners to expand the boundary of Cape Disappointment State Park. This acquisition of property within Seaview Dunes helps to protect the viewshed to the Pacific Ocean.

Location Details

From the intersection of Highway 101 and 101 Loop, turn south, turn right on 38th, (if you continue straight this becomes the Seview Approach Road) turn left on Willows Road; at the second driveway turn right - this will provide an overlook to view the property. Approximately 100 yards south of the Seaview Dunes Approach Road

What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
