Local Parks grants help protect these symbols of vibrant communities, providing places for families to gather and play and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in an era when people spend increasing amounts of their time inside. The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
This project will create opportunities for citizens of Buckley and surrounding areas such as Bonney Lake, Wilkeson, South Prairie, and Carbonado to access multi-use youth and recreation facilities. The facility will feature a playground area with equipment, a seated viewing area and skate park, which provides facilities for both skateboarders, roller bladers and bmx bike riders. Additional features include picnic area, paved parking, restroom facilities, a kiosk and extensive landscaping.
