Brewster Soccer Fields

Category Overview

Local Parks grants help protect these symbols of vibrant communities, providing places for families to gather and play and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in an era when people spend increasing amounts of their time inside. The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.

Project Highlights

Brewster residents recently placed top priority on conversion of a multi-use field into two soccer fields to support an ever-growing number of teams. This project will construct two soccer fields and restrooms. To convert the existing field, the inadequate irrigation system will be replaced; the old track will be filled; the entire area will be treated with sand and top soil; and a new playing surface will be laid with sod and hydro-seed. New, ADA accessible restrooms will offer 4 stalls for women and 3 for men. Soccer fields, with nearby restrooms will enable the community to host tournaments. Most importantly, the project will give soccer a home.
