Battle Ground Lake Equestrian Parking Lot

Category Overview

State Parks grants help preserve and develop our state’s best outdoor recreation areas by funding new campgrounds and amenities to increase the capacity of our parks, creating new parks, improving park resources, and protecting historical areas. These grants help our state continue to develop our world-class parks system to share our cultural heritage and natural treasures with all of its visitors.

Project Highlights

Washington State Parks will use this grant to renovate and expand an existing overflow parking lot to have modern equestrian amenities with a linkage to the trail system as Battle Ground Lake State Park. In addition to resurfacing the lot to asphalt to allow for ten trucks with trailers, this project would also add mounting blocks, ADA mounting ramp, hitching rail, kiosk, manure collection area, a vault toilet, and fencing to separate the lot from roadway. The primary recreation opportunity improved by this project is equestrian trail use.
