The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.

Project Highlights

The Town of Cathlamet will use this grant to develop a seven-acre Waterfront Park, including new walking paths, lighting, signage, a picnic shelter, picnic tables and benches, and landscaping. The primary outdoor recreational opportunity provided is passive recreation.

Location Details

The Town of Cathlamet is located on the waterfront of the Columbia River in southwest Washington, 20 miles west of Longview, Washington on River Mile 42. From Longview and 1-5, take state Highway No. 4 to Cathlamet. In Cathlamet turn left on Main St. Go one block and turn right. Go one block and turn left on second street. What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
