The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.

Project Highlights

Clark County Parks used this grant to acquire 10 acres in the residential Felida neighborhood in the northwest part of the Vancouver urban growth area. The ten acre site includes a mixture of flat uplands and wooded side slopes along the riparian corridor of Cougar Creek. The primary outdoor recreation opportunity provided is walking and picnicking.

Location Details

I-5 south, exit at NE 99th street (exit #5), turn right (west) and travel approximately 1 mile to NW 11th Avenue, turn right (north) and travel approximately 1/2 mile until the road bends to the west and becomes NW 109th Street, travel west approximately 1/4 mile until the road bends to the north and becomes NW 16th Avenue. Travel approximately 1/4 mile, and the property is located on the right (east side of the road), just past the Mayer Estates Subdivision. Latitude: 45 42' 18" Longitude: 122 41' 6"

What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
