The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
This project involves development of a 29.5-acre community park in a heavily developed residential area one mile east of the I-205 corridor in the city of Vancouver. This project will develop sports fields, hiking and biking trails, play equipment, picnic tables, restrooms, parking, signing, and lighting. The project is located 2 blocks north of property dedicated for a community center that will include a swimming pool, library, police substation, and other complementary facilities. The city will provide 86% of the total park project cost.
