The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
The City of Kent will use this grant to acquire approximately 1.61 acres of property that will likely be used as a parking lot, picnic area and passive recreation open space serving Clark Lake Park. The properties are located in the 133 acre Clark Lake Park, located within the City of Kent off of 240th and 248th streets in south King County. By acquiring the properties the City will have the upland property needed for the proposed future development allowing the middle of the eventual 167 acre park to be as natural as possible. The primary recreation opportunity provided by the project will be for passive recreation opportunities.
