Local Parks grants help protect these symbols of vibrant communities, providing places for families to gather and play and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in an era when people spend increasing amounts of their time inside. The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
The property was appraised by Appraisal Group of the NW in November, 20218, and a review appraisal was completed by the Eastman Company in July 2019. A boundary line survey and parcel revision (we purchased 5-acre portion of 8.3-acre parcel) by KPG and recorded in December 2020. Geotest performed an environmental audit of the entire 8.3 -acre property in December 2020 and Perteet conducted an environmental assessment audit in December of 2020. We closed on the purchase and sale of a 5-acre portion of the original 8.3-acre property on June 24, 2021. Snohomish County had a delay in completing and recording the boundary line adjustment and lot status certification for the new 5-acre parcel due to pandemic staff resources delays, but completed it in April, 2022 and the new Snohomish County Parcel number for the 5-acre parcel that the City of Monroe purchased with this grant is #2806360015500. We have submitted a billing that includes the purchase price, appraisal, survey, environmental assessments, cultural resource survey etc. as allowed through our approved RCO Waiver of Retroactivity. During this period, the Deed of Right has been executed and recorded and we have completed and submitted the Cultural Survey report. This is our final report to close out the project.
