The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
Acquisition of a rare old-growth Sitka spruce wetland just northeast of Silverdale in the lower basin of Clear Creek. This wetland is vital to the fisheries of the creek. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency listed it as the “top priority” for the protection in a four state region because of nearby urban growth.
