Category Overview
Local Parks grants help protect these symbols of vibrant communities, providing places for families to gather and play and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in an era when people spend increasing amounts of their time inside. The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
This project is the acquisition of 7.08 acres adjacent to an existing 2.59 acre neighborhood park site. The project site is located in a heavily developed residential area located about 1 mile north of Vancouver. The project site is currently undeveloped. Future improvements will include picnic tables, picnic shelter, pedestrian/bike trails, children’s play equipment, and an open play meadow.
