State Lands Development

Thanks to the hard work of Coalition members across the state, the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition was successful in securing $42 million in the 2011-13 capital budget to fund over 60 projects towards the preservation of wildlife habitat, the protection of working farms and the creation of parks and ballfields in communities across Washington.

WWRP State Lands Development grants are available to the State Department of Fish and Wildlife and the State Department of Natural Resources for development and renovation of outdoor recreation facilities on existing state recreation land.

The Coalition has secured $3.5 million for 17 State Lands Development projects to date.
