Another virtual Legislative Day hosted by the Coalition and our partners at the Washington Recreation and Parks Association (WRPA) is in the books! Overall, we had 98 advocates sign up for the virtual day, showing great support for the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program, especially for a non-budget year! These 98 advocates represented 36 of our 49 legislative districts. Of these advocates, 26 out of the 98 were new to legislative day! We scheduled 75 legislative meetings, talking with 41 districts out of 49. It was amazing to see everyone come together to celebrate and thank our legislators for the record-setting $120 million allocated to the WWRP in 2023 and remind them of the need for robust funding. We also voiced our support for our 2024 Legislative Priorities. Thank you to all the advocates and WRPA for making Monday a success!
