The Town of Wilson Creek, located 30 miles north of Moses Lake, is requesting assistance to renovate its community park. The popular facility is the only public area that offers a pleasant shaded community park and amenities for large groups such as family gatherings, community festivities and school programs. Proposed improvements include re-roofing and rewiring the shelter, play equipment replacement, restroom renovation, irrigation, tree plantings, parking improvements and providing better accessibility. Local support for the project is strong, evidenced by a commitment of over half of the local matching share coming from contributions from local citizens.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
