This project renovated and expanded facilities in an 80-acre community park. Included expansion of the swimming beach and fishing pier, installation of volleyball courts, play equipment, picnic sites, and renovation of the one-mile trail around the lake.

South 68th & Sheridan Streets in Tacoma. Take I-5 to the 72nd Street exit. Go east on 72nd Street to Sheridan (about a mile). Turn left onto Sheridan. Main park entrance on the left about a 1/4 mile down the road.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
