This park is in an low income Kelso neighborhood. The site is just large enough to accommodate play equipment for children. The existing playground equipment in this 1/6 acre neighborhood play lot is unsafe and does not meet univeral access requirements. This project will replace the equipment with up-to-date play equipment and add an accessible, safe surface.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
