Ephrata plans to develop a 10,204 square foot community pool that features a zero-depth entry, six-lane lap area, interactive water structures, and pool slides. The site is unique: access to a geothermal well will help heat the pool and a natural slope will be used for the 190 foot slide. This multi-use project will add a variety of safe summer recreational activities including swimming lessons, supervised play area, and picnicking. A community pool will enhance Ephrata’s amenities and provide a gathering place for area residents and summer tourists.

Location

Travelling east on I-90, take Ephrata exit, north on SR283. SR283 becomes SR28 at Quincy Junction, continue NE on SR 28 into Ephrata. Turn right at SR282 (Moses Lake). Turn left on A St SE. Continue on A St about 1/3 mile to Ephrata Sports Complex. The site is on the right, behind the National Guard Armory and Ephrata Emergency Services. Travelling west on I-90, take the Dodson Rd exit North to Ephrata. Cross SR282, Dodson Rd becomes A St SE. Continue on A St SE about 1/3 mile. The site is on right behind the National Guard Armory.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
