Bombing Range Sports Complex
- Status
- Funded in 1999
West Richland is seeking improvements to its Bombing Range Sports Complex, the city’s most used park which previously received WWRP assistance for Phase 1 development. The city has 15 Little League teams with more than 1600 players using the complex for a variety of sports. The sheer volume of users creates health and safety risks in that portable toilets are the only sanitary facilities now provided. This phase will construct a public restroom facility, develop handicap-accessible walkways, and pave a 125-car parking lot at the Complex. West Richland is also requesting funds for installation of walkways throughout the park to provide accessibility to existing recreation facilities.
Location
North of Interstate 182 and Badger Mountain in the southern part of West Richland adjacent to Bombing Range Road.
