We are overwhelmed by the many
supporters and leaders in conservation and recreation who gathered last Friday
morning at the Coalition’s annual breakfast to show their support for
Washington’s great outdoors. You raised $267,820 to support advocacy to help
make our state a great place to live. Coalition leaders and partners shared the
inspirational story of how the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program
has protected precious landscapes and enriched communities across our
state.
Former Congressman Norm Dicks spoke passionately
about the Land and Water Conservation Fund, our nation’s best program for
funding conservation and recreation, which appallingly was eliminated by a radical
minority of Congress members earlier this week.
If you didn’t get a chance at the breakfast, it’s not
too late to make your gift the Coalition to make sure our best conservation programs can continue to
protect the places and spaces you love.
