welcoming our new Development Director, Melissa Stuart.
Melissa is excited to
get back to work on conservation issues after spending several years in youth
development organizations, including Treehouse and Girl Scouts of Western
Washington. Experienced in both the program and fundraising sides of
non-profits, she’ll also graduate next month with her Master of Non-Profit
Leadership from Seattle University.
“In just a few
short weeks, I’ve met some amazing Coalition members, advocates, and
donors,” Melissa said. “I’m looking forward to getting out to more of
the projects soon and learning from Coalition members about the impact of this
program.”
Melissa grew up on the
Kitsap Peninsula, for which she credits her interest in protecting beautiful
spaces. Prior to returning to the Puget Sound four years ago, Melissa served in
the U.S. Peace Corps and worked for an advocacy effort in Washington,
D.C.
