Lewis County will receive $651,000 in state and federal funding for local conservation and recreation projects, writes the Centralia Chronicle. The City of Chehalis received a $500,000 Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant for renovations to Recreation Park. PCC Farmland Trust received $151,000 to preserve the Olson Farm outside Napavine. This WWRP Farmland Preservation grant will conserve a three-generation cattle farm that is at risk from development.
