Last Sunday, we brought together over 100 of Washington’s outdoors lovers from all over the state to Meadowbrook Farm, lands of the sdukw albixw(Snoqualmie), Tulalip, and Coast Salish. We ate, drank, caught up with old friends, and made some new ones. We raised $190,253 to continue our work at the highest level possible. We also talked about how we can give back to nature as Washington grows and how everyone has a role to play. A huge thanks to Olgy Diaz, Lylianna Allala, and Kate Dean for lending their insights and sharing their experiences. We couldn’t have asked for a better time!
We celebrated a successful year for local and state parks, working lands, and habitat for plants and animals across our state. I hope the event energized everyone in the same way it energized our staff. It’s always such a delight to see how many people support the work we are doing!
Goodness knows we had plenty to get excited about!
- Record-setting advocacy for Full Funding for the WWRP
- Building equity into outdoor recreation funding
- Over a hundred new parks, trails, habitat, and working lands projects underway across the state
We know that our work is far from done and are ready to continue our work with renewed energy! If you weren’t able to join us but would like to support Washington’s outdoors there is still time to make a gift today!
