Tour of Mount St. Helens Pine Creek

Mt. St. Helens Pine Creek Tour

July 15; 12-2pm

Join us, the Columbia Land Trust, and Representative Kevin Waters from the 17 Legislative District to tour Mt. St. Helens Pine Creek.

The Columbia Land Trust used the WWRP Riparian Protection grant to protect approximately 3,940 acres along Pine Creek, a tributary of the Lewis River. This project includes the purchase of a conservation easement on over 3,074 acres and fee simple ownership of 866 acres. Pine Creek has one of only three remaining spawning populations of endangered bull trout in the Lewis River system where recovery efforts seek to have at least eight. The primary threat to the Pine Creek watershed is subdivision and development. This project is the third phase of a multi-year project to create a system of protected riparian, forest and riverine habitat from Mt. St. Helen to the Lewis River.

Group size is limited email Andres Guerrero-Guzman if you are interested in attending.
