Join us and our partners Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and WA Department of Fish & Wildlife to celebrate the Merrill Lake project, which permanently protects nearly 1500 acres of prime wildlife and riparian habitat in Cowlitz County.

Directions:

  • From Woodland, take Highway 503 east and travel about 27 miles.
  • Before reaching the town of Cougar, turn left onto USFS Road 81 (there will be a sign for Merrill Lake and Kalama Horse camp).
  • Travel north approximately eight miles, past the Merrill Lake Campground, to the yellow gate, and turn left.
  • There will be signs and volunteers to guide attendees to the parking area.
