The City of Bellevue used a Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program grant to develop Inspiration Playground, a playground accessible to people with disabilities, in Bellevue’s Downtown Park. This first phase of construction adds 25,000 square feet of additional playground and renovates existing support facilities such as the parking lot and restrooms, to better accommodate people with disabilities. The playground features sensory-rich play experiences and equipment, including a water spray and interactive walkway with music. The Bellevue Rotary Club, City of Bellevue, and local donors helped pay for construction.
