This year, the Coalition is honored to announce the creation of the Evans & Lowry Distinguished Leadership Award, recognizing unique collaboration advancing the preservation of Washington’s great outdoors.
Governor Dan Evans and the late Governor Mike Lowry were the embodiment of just such a unique collaboration when they came together, across party lines, to create the Washington Wildlife & Recreation Coalition in 1989. It is only fitting that this award be named in their honor and that they be the first recipients of the award at this year’s Annual Breakfast. Governor Evans and Mrs. Mary Lowry will join us and give acceptance remarks.
