Eight South Sound wildlife conservation and recreation access projects worth $10 million were funded in the state Legislature’s capital budget, writes The Olympian.
Excerpt: “Statewide funding for the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program dropped to $70 million for the next two years, compared to $100 million in the previous two years.
“In light of the economy, this is a great success,” said Eric Erler, executive director of the Capitol Land Trust.”
