County Receives Funds for Conservation Projects

Yakima County projects will receive $6 million in funding from the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program, according to the Yakima Herald Republic.  This funding reflects a doubling of funding for the program this year.

Excerpt: “Among the eight projects are the Kiwanis Park expansion, connecting the William O. Douglas trail in urban Yakima and habitat conservation in the Cowiche and Tieton watersheds.”
