We are one of many organizations across the country that are
signing on to a statement calling for full funding and permanent
reauthorization for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), and you can
join us.
LWCF is our nation’s premier program to permanently open
access to America’s public lands and protect the places Americans go to enjoy
the great outdoors. It has enjoyed 50 years of strong bipartisan support and in
that time has proven its worth, protecting treasures across our state such as Mt.
St. Helens, Puget Sound, the Columbia River Gorge, and the Pacific Crest Trail.
We are joining with a broad coalition of sportsmen, veterans, business,
recreation, historic preservation and conservation leaders concerned with
America’s outdoor heritage to urge Congress to save this invaluable program
before it expires on September 30 of this year. We need to tell Congress how
important LWCF is to our communities. If you are an elected official or
if you represent a nonprofit or business organization, you can read
the full statement and add your name.
