2023 Fall Celebration

October 25, 2023

Thank you to those who joined us at our Fall Celebration at Stoup Brewery in Seattle on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish and Duwamish people; you made Wednesday, October 11, a night to remember! We celebrated Bill Chapman’s lifetime achievements, the vital work being done by Hunters of Color, Climbers of Color, and Coast Salish Youth Stewardship Corps, along with a successful year for local and state parks, working lands, and habitat for plants and animals across our state.

We brought together 200 of Washington’s outdoors lovers from all over the state. We ate, drank, caught up with old friends, and made some new ones. We raised $211,546 to continue our work at the highest level possible.

We also talked about how we can give back to nature as Washington grows and how everyone has a role to play.

Thanks to Pop-Up Oyster Bar, Outsider BBQ, Frelard Tamales, Frankie and Jo’s, musical guest Sabyu, sponsors, and gracious host Stoup Brewing. We couldn’t have asked for a better time!

We hope the event energized you in the same way it energized our staff. It’s always such a delight to see how many people support the work we are doing!

Goodness knows we had plenty to get excited about!

  • Record-setting funding for the WWRP @ $120 million!
  • Bill Chapman’s lifetime achievements
  • The work being done by Hunters of Color, Climbers of Color, and Coast Salish Youth Stewardship Corps
  • Building equity into outdoor recreation funding
  • Over a hundred new parks, trails, habitat, and working lands projects underway across the state

If you weren’t able to join us, it’s not too late to get in on the fun! You can view more of Patrik Bangle’s wonderful photos from the event. And, of course, you can still donate and help us close the gap to our goal of $220,000.
