State Parks

Thanks to the hard work of Coalition members across the state, the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition was successful in securing $42 million in the 2011-13 capital budget to fund over 60 projects towards the preservation of wildlife habitat, the protection of working farms and the creation of parks and ballfields in communities across Washington.

WWRP State Parks grants fund the expansion, development, and creation of Washington State Parks and campgrounds.  A minimum of 50% of the funds in this category must be used for acquisitions.

Since 1990, the Coalition has secured over $88 million for state grants to for 93 State Park projects in Washington State.
