State Parks

The Coalition requests that Governor Inslee and the legislature commit $97 million to fund outdoor recreation and conservation projects through the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP). The Coalition believes increased funding for the WWRP is needed to meet the demand of a growing population in addition to rising construction and land costs. There are about 220 WWRP applications for the 2015 budget cycle.

WWRP State Parks grants fund the expansion, development, and creation of Washington State Parks and campgrounds.  A minimum of 50% of the funds in this category must be used for acquisitions.

Since 1990, the Coalition has secured over $96.9 million for state grants to for 110 State Park projects in Washington State.

Below are lists and a map of proposed and funded WWRP projects.
