Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) will use this grant for forest restoration efforts in the Sherman Creek Wildlife Area (SCWA), in the northeast corner of the state in Ferry County. this grant will allow for plan preparation, unit layout, and implementation of prescribed burning on approximately 1,000 acres. Funds will also be used for non-commercial thinning, within the project area, when weather conditions prevent prescribed fire implementation. The primary habitat type restored is forest.
