The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
The objective of this project is to acquire 18 acres of land along the Dungeness River to expand Railroad Bridge Park. This acquisition will allow public access for both passive (scenic view) and active (hiking, picnicking, bird watching) recreational activities. The additional property will allow for expansion of the park along a river that is largely privately owned. Acquisition of additional land, set aside for public use, guarantees that the community will be able to use, enjoy and learn more about the surrounding riverine environment and the associated ecosystems.
