Project Highlights

Development of a data base of publicly owned land within the State of Washington. Staff will gather and tabulate specific information about federal, tribal, state and local public lands by county in phase 1 and will gather, organize, analyze and interpret federal and state recreation and habitat land information in phase 2. Phase 1 will result in a county-by-county listing of publicly owned lands by governmental agency. Phase 2 will include a cost benefit analysis and perhaps GIS layer of state recreation and habitat lands.

What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
