The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
The City of Connell has purchased additional property to expand Pioneer Park to develop two new softball fields and to enhance utilization of the existing swimming pool. The project involves construction of two softball fields, parking, bleachers, pathways and expanded water oriented facilities including a larger slide and a splash area for smaller children. This expansion of Pioneer Park addresses the city’s need for more ballfields and will enhance the water orientation of the park to better serve the North Franklin County residents.
