The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.

Project Highlights

This project is the acquisition of 7.08 acres adjacent to an existing 2.59 acre neighborhood park site. The project site is located in a heavily developed residential area located about 1 mile north of Vancouver. The project site is currently undeveloped. Future improvements will include picnic tables, picnic shelter, pedestrian/bike trails, children’s play equipment, and an open play meadow.

What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
