The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
This project acquired a 6.44-acre neighborhood park located in a heavily developed residential area in northeast Vancouver known as Sifton. The neighborhood is fully developed, and the project site provides the only opportunity in the service area for a neighborhood park that meets the minimum size standard of 3 acres. The property consists of a flat open meadow, with no wetlands or other limiting conditions. Future improvements will include informal open play fields, walking trails, children’s play equipment, picnic tables, and sports court.
