The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
Access improvements for this project within Fort Steilacoom park have included a new parking lot at the SE corner of the park, newly paved asphalt trail, new landscaped areas with native trees and prairie flora, a new restroom facility and plaza adjacent to a central existing parking facility, utility improvements, site furnishings, and informational signage. These improvements have greatly improved access in and around the park, access to restroom facilities within the park, and enhanced park users experience through landscape improvements.
