The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.

Project Highlights

Camas used this grant to purchase 54.8 acres that include shoreline, forest, and wetlands, and Fallen Leaf Lake. Fallen Leaf Lake is part of an interconnected system of three lakes, known as the Lacamas Corridor, that includes Round and Lacamas Lakes.

Drive north from downtown Camas on Everett Street (SR-500) approximately 1 mile. A driveway leads into the property a short distance north of NW 23rd Street.

What is the WWRP

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
